Service Description:

Wastewater Interceptor owned by Wellington City Council (WCC).

Wellington Water Ltd operate the interceptor system that provides bulk wastewater conveyance for Wellington and the majority of its suburbs. The interceptor conveys flows to the Moa Point WWTP for treatment and disposal (1998). The Interceptor has large tunnelled sections (around 16km) and portions of it date from 1898. The Interceptor has been extended and duplicated over its life to form the current layout.

The data has been compiled from a variety of sources and its accuracy may vary.

Information supplied is to the best of Wellington Water's knowledge, and must not be used for detailed engineering design. Please contact Wellington Water at data.team@wellingtonwater.co.nz if you require more detailed spatial information.
