Service Description:

District Metered Area (DMA) Zone – an area of the water distribution network that is metered. Master data sits in InfoAsset. Data is exported from InfoAsset to this GIS layer weekly on Saturday night. Zones made from council pressure zones and modified to match metering zone areas.

From Google: A district metered area (DMA) is defined as a discrete area of a water distribution network. It is usually created by closing boundary valves so that it remains flexible to changing demands. However, a DMA can also be created by permanently disconnecting pipes to neighbouring areas.Water flowing into and out of the DMA is metered and flows are periodically analysed in order to monitor the level of leakage.

*There is automation in the background which updates User Text 20-ILI Range (Infrastructure Leakage Index) field. It is a calculated value to identify the level of leakage in a DMA Zone. The FME workspace is called: Update_Council_DMA_Zones_SDE_EGDB_Prod.fmw & it is on Prod01 server.  This map service along with a feature service are both published from our sde councils egdb.  Jan 2023.
