WELLINGTON WATER Ltd Hazard Classification and Flood Depth DATA - Terms of Use
PCC District Plan Flood Hazard Layers - Inundation, Overland Flow, Stream corridor.
Wellington Water is making available to you the Hazard Classification and Flood Depth data in good faith, under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
Hazard Classification and Flood Depth data should not be used for detailed engineering design or the setting of recommended building floor levels. The data provided is appropriate for the indication of flood risk based on model assumptions and limitations. Data should be confirmed by carrying out topographical surveys, verifying critical input data (such as manhole inverts) and field checks/investigations.
Hazard Classification and Flood Depth data is sourced from Wellington Water as the output of detailed stormwater modelling undertaken by Wellington Water on behalf of Porirua City Council. All printed maps, reports or other outputs using this information must contain the following message: "Hazard Classification and Flood Depth data derived from Wellington Water. Mapped flooding information may not be survey-accurate, and is bound by the model assumptions and limitations. Care should be taken that information is verified as part of any flood risk analysis, concept or detail design." You agree to seek consent from Wellington Water before information using the data is provided to a third party, or otherwise distributed and confirm to us to whom that information will be shared, and for what purpose.
Wellington Water Hazard Classification and Flood Depth data is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, and does not represent that the data is accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose other than flood hazard maps. The Hazard Classification and Flood Depth data has been compiled from a number of input sources and may vary in accuracy.. Wellington Water and Porirua City Council do not accept any responsibility for the use of or reliance on the data and shall not be liable to any person on any ground for any loss, damage or expense arising from such use or reliance. Section 41 of the Local Government Official Information Act 1987 will apply to the information provided.
